Food for the artist; Playmobil for you

Pet trades his huge toy collection in exchange for food

9 Dec 2012

Missing the good ol' days when it was all play and no work? If you'd like to spend your Sunday afternoon nobly helping a hungry artist while revisiting your childhood, then this was something for you. You could exchange your food for toys from Pet van de Luijtgaarden's Playmobil collection.

Pet

Over the past three years Pet van de Luijtgaarden has collected millions of objects, questioning why we hold on to so much stuff. His collections have been exhibited in the Kunsthal (Rotterdam) and more recently in a massive exhibition, sized 13.000 m2, in the Jaarbeurs.

Pet has now brought his vast collections to Amsterdam to try and live off them. He is swapping them for foods such as jam, bread, or a wicked wintry soup. Anything fresh or easy to freeze is welcome.
