In the fast-paced cinematic rollercoaster ride of An Exclamation, the performers switch from one intense scene to the next in the blink of an eye. In quoting films from Pretty Woman, Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms and Disney’s Aladdin, William ...Collins explores his fascinations for despair and the futility he experiences in communication. The two performers unite in their shared fear of death and being alone. The audience sees how the performers rely upon and move (away from) each other through the space in physically intense experiences. Driving on at high speeds the tension between the two ratchets ever higher.
