Paul Wielinga

I am the manager of the networking business unit at SARA and also responsible for the CineGrid efforts at SARA. I have been heavily involved in streaming high resolution (scientific and cultural) images over wide area networks (Europe, USA, Japan). SARA holds the (unofficial) world record for streaming data from scientific application to remote high resolution displays (iGRID2005, 19,5 Gbps sustained). I also was responsible (guilty?) for setting up the first European Virtual Reality Cave at SARA.
