I have graduated in media and film from the universities mainz and marburg (germany); I'm currently research fellow at the school for new media (hochschule für gestaltung) in karlsruhe. my interest in this very exciting forum is basically a theoretical one, as I am currently writing my phd thesis on anthropological approaches toward images in general; arabic calligraphy is one of my main fields of interest.
