Is currently researching the interplay between socio-political and bodily practices in the urban environment.
Her four-year research project “Cleanliness in the Premodern City: Policies and Practices in the Late Medieval Low Countries" explores hygienic ideals and sanitary practices in the premodern Dutch cities.
Aside from that, she is also a musician, singing and playing guitar in the indie pop band "The Secret Love Parade" .
