The NDSM wharf, a former ship wharf located next to the IJ river, is the biggest cultural breeding ground of Amsterdam. Around 250 artist work here.

A huge building at the NDSM yard next to the waterfront on top of what used to be a concrete platform for finishing ships.

VogelBuurt (neighbourhood)
The street names indicate that this is the Bird district, originally built mainly for the workers of large companies at the harbour, such as ADM, Draka, Kromhout and Verschure.
