De drie bandleden van DeWolff steken hun enthousiasme niet onder stoelen of banken als hun manager Ron Engelen ze het grote nieuws brengt: ze staan op Pinkpop, het grootste popfestival van Nederland. Het evenement in mei wordt de start van een jubelzomer voor de piepjonge psychedelische bluesrockers uit Geleen: ze winden clubs door heel Nederland om hun vingers, spelen in het voorprogramma van The Black Keys een uitverkocht HMH plat en reizen naar Boedapest voor hun eerste buitenlandse optreden op het Sziget festival. Regisseur Carin Goeijers volgt de band gedurende een tumultueus jaar. Bandleden Pablo en Luka van de Poel en Robin Piso doen wat alle rockbandjes doen - ze geven alles tijdens hun optredens, drinken biertjes en maken platte scheetgrappen in de bus naar huis - maar wel met Limburgse bescheidenheid: ze hebben geen groupies maar lieve vriendinnetjes, en als ze in een dronken bui een kleedkamer kort en klein slaan, krijgen ze een standje van manager Ron en kopen ze de volgende dag beduusd een nieuwe bank voor de zaaleigenaar. Tussen de regels door zien we hoe het plotselinge succes van hun band invloed heeft op hun ontluikende levens, van hun relaties tot de carrièreplannen die ze maken.

The band members of DeWolff make no effort to conceal their wild enthusiasm as manager Ron Engelen tells them the big news: they have been invited to play at Pinkpop, Holland's biggest pop festival. The event in May will be the start of an intense year for the young psychedelic blues rockers from Geleen, a town in the south of the Netherlands. They have audiences all over the country under their thumb, they open for The Black Keys in a sold-out Heineken Music Hall, and they travel to Budapest for their first foreign gig at the Sziget Festival. Director Carin Goeijers follows the band during a tumultuous year. Pablo and Luka van de Poel and Robin Piso act like any other rock band - they give their all during the shows, drink beer and make fart jokes in the tour bus on the way back home. The difference is that the trio is disarmingly modest. They have nice girlfriends instead of groupies, and when they do trash a dressing room one drunken night and catch hell from Engelen, they buy the concert hall a new couch in shame. Between the lines, we see how the sudden success of the band influences their relationships and the career choices they make.
