During his residency at the 'GDR apartment' as part of the longterm research project 'The Grand Domestic Revolution' at Casco - Office for Art, Design and Theory, Emilio Moreno delved into historical cases of alternative currencies. The results of this research were displayed in the Project Exhibition The Grand Domestic Revolution at Casco.
Moreno found re-tooled local and ‘domestic’ currencies to be formal precedents for creative
ways communities can face the fact that money is nothing more than an idea waiting to be redesigned and utilised according to circumstances.
