Christine Eid

Christine Eid is a researcher, artist and writer based in Melbourne, Australia. She established her practice TOW in 2001 to undertake projects centred on the Lebanese migration to Australia.
Her latest project 'Transit' focussed on Melbourne's taxi entrepreneurs from Hadchit, North Lebanon. After extensive research, which included recording oral histories, the project culminated into an art exhibition held at Span Galleries in 2006 and has since been extended on-line www.t-o-w.info
Eid is one of the founding members of the Australian Lebanese Historical Society of Victoria (ALHSV) and a member of the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA), Australian Network for Art and Technology (ANAT) and the Oral History Association of Australia (OHAA).
