Daphne Gakes
Daphne Gakes (born 1985) is a writer and artist. Gakes graduated in 2014 with a master's degree in Theater Studies. Her first paper was about the importance of theater classics. She performed at Oerol in Boukje Schweigman's play Erf and at the Parade in today's Virtue of Swearing in the Church. In 2016 she won the audience award of the Café Theater Festival with the performance Goed (be)doel(d). In addition, she worked as a theater maker with several city companies and performed the solo "Scala". In the media Gakes can be seen in Lief Dagboek (NTR) Ik Durf Het bijna Niet Te Vragen (BNNVARA), Ontspullen (LINDA.tv) and Wat zou jij doen met Olcay Gulsen (LINDA.tv). In 2021 she will tour with her show and book of the same name, Ik, Daphne Gakes.
