PX VIII – Stimulating serendipity
This prosthetic forms a cuticle on the hand that changes color and reflection like a chameleon's skin when the wearer moves further from home. The scales of this prosthetic start to glow from the middle and create a pattern. It becomes a second skin over the hand, camouflaging ageing pigmentation, loose skin and visible veins. The wearer is encouraged to literally enlarge his or her world by exploring new places and environments in all directions. When exploring new areas, new encounters and interactions can arise. The wearer is encouraged to generate different patterns throughout the year by pushing themselves in new and different directions.
Materials: Electroluminescent buttons/3D printed PLA/Custom made electronics
