Arabic tiles
Based on an ornament from a 1304 Koran from Cairo
A hand-drawn motif was transferred and hand-cut as a stencil. A 17th century Dutch tile was scanned into Photoshop as the background to create an Arabic tile. These are now being sublimated onto tiles & t-shirts.
