This month, you’re invited to step into a mind-bending kaleidoscope at SPSound’s special monthly programme, Intermission. Join us for a mesmerizing night of visual and sonic fusion.

Gangpol und Mit
Gangpol und Mit (Wwilko) is French music and graphic duo Sylvain Quément (Gangpol/sound) and Guilaume Gastagné (Guillaumit/visual). Working on a peculiar world of deviant cartoons inhabited by colourful and geometric creatures, they create a bestiary that evolves in lysergic environments and plays a part in apocalyptic stories. Characterized by a contrast of melody and electronic music, full of references to Electro Waltz, slaughtered Swing, lyrical Chiptune, broken Folk, Coconut Cartoon and FM hits, their music can best be described as Post-Pop, Avant-garde or IDM. Their hybrid visuals lie somewhere between rigorous composition and recycling of the most eclectic sources: bizarre animals, landscapes with shaken topography, Venetian masks built from agglomerated pop stars and much more. A poetic live show of equally intense video and music storytelling is guaranteed.

Randy Barracuda
Randy Barracuda (Perttu Häkkinen) is one of the pioneers of Skweee, a fresh type of Finnish Electro Funk, as well as one half of Ghettobass/Electro duo Imatran Voima. Currently based in Rotterdam, Randy Barracuda's recently released, long-awaited solo album pays tribute to his key influences: 80’s analogue synthesizer Funk, romantic modern Soul and drugged-out cosmic Psychedelia. His musical spectrum varies from anthemic screeching to melancholic, spacey moods.

DJ Hakki Takki
DJ Hakki Takki, has a musical taste in bleeps and boing-tsjak-boem-boems and knows how to experiment with Electronic dance music. Hakki’s live acts are always a surprise: spontaneous, energetic, and above all – uninhibited and original. DJ Hakki Takki is also part of the Amsterdam Plattegrond Collective.

DJ Salvador
DJ Salvador (Katapult), international man of music and eclectician extraordinaire, will deliver the misshapen sounds you’ve grown to love and cherish from his sets at festivals like Solar and Mystery Land and parties such as Smells Like 90s, Katapult and Errorkrew.
