Stick with your friends' has proven to be a valuable advice for many in their filmmaking career. For filmmakers around the world, it’s never been a better time to join forces: teaming up with the right people to inspire and support you remains an essential element of improving your work. Developing one’s personal craftsmanship on the one hand, and to benefit from other people’s fortes on the other is the true sense of collaborative filmmaking. It’s about finding the most exalting people to work with, daring to ask the vital questions in order to exceed your own limits, and having the greatest time of your life when making film. Keep it simple, make it grand!

PROGRAMME

Grand Format
Lectures, panel discussions and stars-in-the-limelight sessions addressing the burning, inspirational and vibrant issues in filmmaking today. These events are presented by industry professionals and stars, many of whom have been involved in films screened in the official Berlin International Film Festival programme.

Atelier
Workshops, seminars and case studies enabling Talents to interact with world-class experts from all disciplines, offering a glimpse into their professional world, their latest discoveries on set, their experiences during post-production, their views on new media and adventures in the international festival circuit.

Excursions
Meeting professionals or visiting key film industry institutions in Berlin-Brandenburg.

Networking Through various events, the Campus provides networking opportunities, such as the daily breakfasts, speed matching sessions, lunch breaks and other social gatherings – and of course through the networking dinner Dine & Shine Talent Rendezvous and the access to the Campus Online Community.

Hands-on training
Personal tutoring, coaching and training of participants from different fields of work. These hands-on training programmes require an additional application, in certain cases related to a project you’re currently working on. Those who make it will take part in an experience of exceptional value, despite needing to spend some extra time on the application.

The hands-on trainings of the Campus include THE SCORE COMPET ITION for score composers and sound designers, THE CAMPUS STUDIO for directors, producers, cinematographers, and editors involved in post-production stage, THE SCRIPT & DOC STATION for scriptwriters and documentary filmmakers, THE TALENT PROJECT MARKET for collaborating producers and directors, THE TALENT PRESS for film critics, the TALENT ACTORS STAGE and theTHE BERLIN TODAY AWARD for directors.
