STEIM goes Frascati

More space for pirate songs, please.

3 Apr 2006
  • 20:30 -22:00
  • Frascati
  • Nes 63, Amsterdam

SKIF++ (Jeff Carey, Robert van Heumen and Bas van Koolwijk) bring us more joystick happy max/msp and LiSa mashups, Kevin Blechdom came to town to sing us some computerized banjopop and Werner/Waisvisz will bring back the Crackle synth, but they didn't promise they were going to use it.

SKIF++ also lets their sound influence their music and their music influence their sound. A sonic tunnel of projections and imbedments, with a melancholic undertone many have since classified as Live Cinema. SKIF++ is also part of the N-collective.

Kevin Blechdom (US_) will present her new CD Eat my heart out, with computer collages, pirate pop, self help pieces and a handful of songs written by means of laughing gas.

Werner/Waisvisz (DE) who now also have STEIMs creative direction in their hands, are also known as Mouse on Mars. With most artists, a change in pseudonym signifies a slight deviation in the default playlist, however with these boys you never know, and they might change their minds back again at the last minute.
