Ephemeral conversations

The essence of conversation has become determined by new technology. At the moment Goran Turnšek is inspired by the webcam and is using his body as a medium. He has created a series of photos where he demonstrates conversation through a webcam.

Blogwriter Bruce Schneier writes that ‘Ephemeral conversation is dying’. Goran is investigating the body behind the web camera in much the same way. Movements in dance disappear as we watch a performance. We can now capture the performance and present it with different media. Due to new technology dance became less ephemeral.
