Freezing Favela Freedom Festival

Sunday May 5th from 13.00 to 20.00

On liberation day the doors of the Freezing Favela will open to host a food filled festival. Favelous will cook a surprise meal, chef Carlos will prepare yet another wonderful soup and cooks from the neighbourhood will tickle your tastebuds with exquisite flavours. Guided tours are held every hour starting at 13:30. The weather forecast predicts the day to be nice and sunny, so you can enjoy a beer on the quay while listening to the music of Vrijland Festival. The festival starts at 13.00 and ends at 20.00. Tours through the Favela are every hour, starting at the half hour. Location: Mediamatic Fabriek, VOC-kade 10, Oostenburg Amsterdam. Entrance: €10,- (including Club Mediamatic membership for 4 weeks). Members get free entrance to our exhibition and big discounts on our events. Get your tickets online.
