When Dutch singer Loeki Knol sang about her love for two men in the charming song 'Algebra', it got stuck for 4 weeks on number 27 of the Top 40 singles chart. This was 1976 and perhaps the subject was a bit too risky for the song to become a major hit. When the book 'I love two men' was published in 2005, three editions of it sold out in two months. Clearly Ageeth Veenemans had struck upon an issue the public was ready for. She gave up her day-job to become a fulltime promotor of poly-amorous relationships.

In Lloyd Time, Katayoun Arian (the Group Marriage Initiative) put together a programme of talks with Veenemans, about her personal experiences and the myth of monogamy.
Filmmaker Kenji Ouellet will talk about his film 'Mehr als eine Liebe'(2009), about the poly-amorous situation in Germany.
This summer artist Francisco Camacho set up the Group Marriages Initiative. He aims to collect enough support for a petition to parliament with a demand to open up the civil marriages act. If you should like to sign it, this is your chance to join the summer of group love.
