I visited Darwin last February (2009) to visit Litchfield NP and Kakadu NP.
Kakadu National Park is the most amazing place I have ever been! The aboriginals had the best backyard you can image...ever! Jungle, open fields, rock formations, waterholes, waterfalls....
I was there in the wet season...everything is even more pretty in the wet season, the waterfalls are bigger, and the land is so much greener..I would like to suggest Darwin to all visitors of Australia, I know it is a loooong way to get there, but it's totally worth it!
