Pedro Varela

Pedro Varela says: "I want to show here some works of the floating cities and forests series... I'm working on this series since 2005, when I decided to investigate the contemporary landscape and architecture, and the narratives that I could construct mixing architectures of different times and cultures. I’m interested on create a miscegenation aesthetic in a magic (or utopian) world. I "construct" these buildings using ball-point pens and other pens over Japanese rice paper, sometimes I also use watercolor and acrylic and I usually fix these drawings on the wall with pins. Now I’m working on collages with vinyl adhesive, acrylic paintings and models of cities."
