130,000-square-feet for exhibition galleries, a cinema, a library and more the CCA provides frequently changing exhibitions with the conviction that architecture is a public concern. The CCA is also a massive archive that can be accessed for those partaking in interdisciplinary research on "the built word." With all this, the CCA is still the perfect place for the novice museum-goer because its exhibitions are fascinating without being esoteric, and its structure includes an art garden as well as a passage to the historic Shaughnessy House (1874).
