Jochem de Jong

Jochem de Jong is VP Distribution & Public Affairs for MTV Networks Benelux. MTV Networks is worldwide market leader in music and youth television. De Jong studied Communications at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He started his career as an intern at the Dutch music channel The Music Factory (TMF). After graduating, he started as Network Development Executive for TMF in 2000. In June 2001, TMF was incorporated in MTV Networks and became part of Viacom. This American-based media conglomerate has various worldwide interests in cable and satellite television networks, video gaming and movie production and distribution. De Jong became Head of Distribution & Affairs for MTV Benelux in November 2003. In October 2005, he was promoted to VP Distribution & Public Affairs of MTV Networks Benelux. In this function, De Jong is responsible for the development of the digital strategies for all MTV Networks channels and platforms in the Benelux and MTV NetworkÕs digital TV channels such as TMF Pure, TMF NL and Nick Jr and the newly-launched MTV Brand New Digital TV and the MTV mobile platform MTV Shorts.
