Ben Hammersley

Writer, Journalist and Photographer (United Kingdom)

Ben Hammersley discusses the impact of new technologies and ways of communicating on how we understand the world and its conflicts. Now a contributor to the Guardian, Hammersley built and maintains the paperÕs weblogs. Unlike many technology writers, his stories often result from reporting from the worldÕs conflict zones. He has recently returned from Afghanistan, where he was blogging for the Guardian. Based in Florence, Italy, Ben Hammersley is currently working on his next book, ÒOctet -The Eight Big Ideas of the 21st CenturyÓ, as well as a complete site rebuild for the Serpentine Gallery.
