Inge van Schooneveld

I guess I am the strange fruit of both high- and lowculture. I was raised by the ideals of the flower- power generation and in the mean time the 'institutionalized' museum was my second home. I can not imagine being part of only one subculture. Being a professional bellydancer since my 17th I became familiar with a lot that goes round in the world of music and dance. Apart from being a performer I wanted to bring a contribution to the cultural climate in Amsterdam, as a whole. I started doing Cultural Studies at the university and lately I work for a youth organisation that wishes to promote classical music by organizing cross-overs in the famous Concertgebouw.
