In Sarcophagus, a life sized and highly detailed cast of a reclining androgynous form was cast in plaster, from this a fiberglass cast was made (detail of palm lines etc. were maintained). The stepped sculpture was reminiscent of a tomb. The body became reanimated as its body displayed moving images and made sounds (the amplified sound of breathing). As people 'laid on their hands' they caused new images to be shown on the body.
