Tanja Deman

The poetics of each of the scenes that Tanja Deman creates is bound to elicit suprisigly ambivalent feelings with the spectators. Aspiration and a certain degree of longing are, in fact, tightly related, and the passion for active exploration of the unreachable - the title of the exhibition Fernweh (eng. an aching for the distance) directly suggests this - will always be interreferenced with strong meditative-contemplative urges.
