Pet
Over the past three years Pet van de Luijtgaarden has collected millions of objects. His collections have been exhibited in the Kunsthal (Rotterdam) and more recently in a massive exhibition, sized 13.000m2, in the Jaarbeurs with the help of the Centraal Museum (Utrecht).
Starting in December 2012, Pet slowly began exchanging his collections for food. First off, one hundred barbies and barbie accessories from all walks of life were traded for foods such as jam, bread, or soup. Anything fresh that's easy to freeze was welcome. Did you have a birthday coming up, know someone with a doll fetish, or do you simply wanted a new plastic toy - without creating new plastic? Join us. If this was too girly for you, on December 9 Pet traded his Playmobil and on December 16 he got rid of his LEGO.
