This structure was grown from the fungus Ganoderma lucidum (also known as Reishi or Ling-chi) at the Far West Fungi mushroom farm in Monterey, California. Building material made of fungi is lightweight, isolating, waterproof and mold resistant. Find out more about Phil Ross' work on his webpage.
