Workshop
Stefan Hechenberger will show you how to conceal your identity and location from data collection agencies with the help of Tor. You'll also learn how to setup and use secure communication channels to prevent governmental spying with E2EE (end-to-end encryption). This will protect your e-mail and make sure you can instant-message privately and securely. Bring a Notebook with Windows/OSX/Linux. No prior crypto skills required.
Tor
Tor provides the foundation for a range of applications that allow organizations and individuals to share information over public networks without compromising their privacy.
E2EE
End-to-end encryption means communication between two people is encrypted, and can only be read by the person with the right 'key'. This type of communication prevents third parties from being able to read the content of what you're sending. So: the government will know you sent an e-mail, but won't know what was in it.
