As every student of architecture around the world, I used to decipher every word an image of this book.
Is true that this books has become a classic, but also it has become more dark to understand. Rem Koolhaas, took note of every page of this book and also the slight humour that organizes the propaganda thing. Because the book is one of the best propagandistic efforts of the XX century. Ten years ago, a bunch of architects and artists from Buenos Aires, decided to make a critical reading of this book. The result was another manifesto where architects and artists were called to subsitute texts and images of this book, playing the card of rewriting a manifesto, when nobody cared about them anymore.
The lessons of that book has became a warning, a "rappel", to every inhabitant of the now extended urban arena, showing us the "nerve" of new hybrids between life and cities.
