ZAAL5 is the Filmhuis' platform for media arts. This multifunctional room is dedicated to programmes and projects using moving images that are not displayed in regular film halls. WORKSPACE is the annual project competition through which ZAAL5 seeks out talented filmmakers and artists working with film, new (interactive) media, video installations, performance and visuals.
To participate in WORKSPACE 10, you need to submit a project plan for a site-specific installation with moving image, suited to ZAAL5. A professional jury will select two winners who are each awarded an amount of €.9000,- and who will have ZAAL5 at their disposal for four weeks to realise and present their projects. After that, the winning projects will go on tour around the Netherlands.
