The Street – Live!

De Wereld van Witte de With is an annual international festival for art and social
sculpture in public space in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As an integral part of the
inauguration of the City of Rotterdam's cultural season, this interdisciplinary art festival
invites outstanding creatives from the fields of art, architecture, performance, film, music
and new media to critically reflect on contemporary urban conditions by means of artistic
interventions in the fabric of the city. The specially-conceived artistic contributions for this
three-day festival thereby aim at establishing a critical awareness for the creative potential
of urban public space and life, through participatory design processes along the city's
cultural centre on Witte de With Street.
