Swap Up Workshops

Workshop 1: Play - November 24

The workshop Play is for children in the age of 7–10. Would you trade your brother for a horse? Or your X-box for your sister's diary? In this workshop children will make a picture book on swapping, under the professional care of an art educationist. In a playful way they will learn to question the notion of value. This workshop will be given in Dutch. Click here for more information.

Workshop 2: Think - December 1

The workshop Think will trigger the imagination of its participants to invent new considerations of value. In collaboration with Brandstof and Life! Spectaculair Denkfestival we will produce, swap and materialize thoughts and ideas on two different locations simultaneously – at Mediamatic Fabriek and de Beurs van Berlage.

Workshop 3: Perform - December 8

During the workshop Perform, participants will write a screenplay for the final dinner party, in collaboration with Cornelia Hanselmann (choreograph, dance and mime).

Workshop 4: Make - December 14

The workshop Make is addressing artists and designers and will investigate ways in which swapping can become a method according to which you can design formats, interfaces, identities and processes. In collaboration with Luna Maurer we will explore the potential of swapping as a non-possessive way to create.
