Bibliothèque Érotique
This year, Bibliothèque will create an erotic pop-up library in Amsterdam. Bibliothèque is also active in Barcelona and looking forward to opening up erotic minds in Tokyo, Berlin, Shanghai and other secret destinations.
Their mission is to bring erotica back to life, combatting superficial, habitual ideas around sexuality through books, exploring more ways that we can cultivate our erotic worlds through new experiences, connections, and words.
Jaap Huizing
22 years old and currently living, working and studying in Amsterdam. He's in his second year studying for a BA in English Language and Culture at the UVA. His interests include: writing, music, Japanese culture, canines and boxing.
Jonas van de Poel
24 year old Dutch poet and scholar, born, raised and working from the city of Amsterdam.
BA student of English language and culture at the University of Amsterdam. Currently involved in the organization of the 'Amsterdam Writers Guild,' an initiative by and for upcoming writers, organizing creative writing workshops, exercise sessions, readings. The Writers Guild recently published their first online magazine at www.amsterdamwritersguild.com
Bryan Whalen
Writes fiction, creative non-fiction, screenplays, journalism, essays and poetry. His work has featured in several online and print publications, including The Lifted Brow, The Big Issue, Voiceworks and Wet Ink. Harriet Alida Lye is from three places: she was born and raised in Canada, her whole family is from England, and she lives in Paris. Actually, four places, as she is currently living in Amsterdam. Her first novel, Everything We Could, will be published by Simon & Schuster next spring, and her second novel, The Honey Farm, is being adapted by director Mary Nighy into a feature film. Harriet was the founding editor of Her Royal Majesty, a literary and arts magazine than ran for six years, thirteen issues and published poets like Robert Hass, artists like James Franco, and the first ever short story by Alice Munro.
