Aimee Zito Lema deals with her questions about social memory and the body as a means of resistance, using large photographic prints, sculptural installations and video. Born in Amsterdam and raised in Buenos Aires, the artist strongly identifies with historical stories from both countries.
Her work has been exhibited at Gulbenkian Museum, Lisbon (PT) 2018; Kunsthall, Trondheim (SE) 2017; MACBA, Barcelona (ES) 2017; the 11th Gwangju Biennial (ROK) 2016; Kunstmuseum Bonn (DE) and the Centre Pompidou, Paris (FR) 2016.
