Georgia Street Community Garden

Yes, gardens! We have three gardens and an orchard this year on 10 city lots

DSG Shares provides an opportunity for volunteers to engage in a service learning event once per month designed to address a specific social issue plaguing our community - hunger and homelessness.

The Georgia Street Community Garden was founded on April 8, 2008 as an opportunity to provide residents with a garden and a neighborhood gathering place. The community garden also serves as a community center where residents can bring their children for a book reading every Saturday night. Volunteers will be assisting with a lot clean-up for the formation of an orchard across the street from the existing garden.
