PSL sits below a one of Leeds' numerous 'city living' projects thrown up in the late 90's early 00's, which have yet to reach their full potential. PSL have benefited from the slow down in the economy by being able to take up space longer term and develop an interesting programme of exhibitions.
Associated events such as talks, seminars and education workshops sit alongside the exhibitions programme, engaging diverse audiences and aiming to grow awareness of the contemporary visual arts in the city. By working with organisations from outside Leeds, PSL aims not only to bring established artists to the city and to provide opportunities for native talent, but also to position Leeds on the national and international radar.
