An enormous modern chandelier made of glass bottles is hanging in the middle of this space and ‘can crush a minivan easily’, someone wrote on Flickr. In summertime, this is where you can sit outside at long picnic tables next to Amsterdam’s creative crowd. While eating roasted chicken or oysters, you can enjoy the view over the IJ water.

Although the name assumes differently, this is a restaurant housed in an industrial space (1200m2!) that used to be a ship pilot. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 6 p.m. till 1 a.m. Mondays closed.
