What are we going to do?
The animation jam sessions from Monday 27 October to Saturday 1 November are part of Club Voyeur, organised by Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond in collaboration with Vlaams-Nederlands Huis deBuren. We are all, whether beginners or advanced, working in one space on new films. Video, flash, 3D, clay, paper, sampling, relay: it is going to be a fantastic experiment and a unique occasion to get to know your animation brothers and to exchange tips and tricks. There will be a workshop from Creative Commons for online collaboration & sampling, and animations profs will step on to the soapbox to tell their story.
Presentation during Museumnacht
The climax of this enervating week of jamming is the presentation of the Gesamtkunstwerk during the Museumnacht on 1 November. The jury will be viewing the harvest of brand-new animations, and award a prize to the best of them. Afterwards, the dance floor will be beckoning. And not just in order to relax those mouse-strained arms: when the VJs mix all the animations into a mega mash-up, feet will join in without having to be urged.
When is it?
- The hall is open from 27 to 1 November from 10.00h to 22.00h, but you don’t have to be there every day.
