For the Observational Plant Drawing workshop we found that having each participant send out emails with photos of their plants/drawings can get quite confusing, making the process take longer. I research different tools on how we could make sharing photos easier, it had to not only be efficient but also easy to use. Something all participants could do without needing to set-up anything.
How to:
Step 1.Go to Yogile.com , log in. Make an account or use your facebook. Don't worry photos won't be shared on your facebook nor will the participants see your actual email.
Step 2. Click on Create Album, give it a name and set it as "unlisted".
Step 3. Once you click create album it will take you directly to the upload Page, use the back arrow to go to the album overview instead. Then click the settings button on the corner of your album.
Step 4. Change the link to something easier to type! so your album can become www.yogile.com/Workshop instead of random letters. Wanna make it even easier? Transform this link into a free QR code too, then participants can chose whatever they want to type it or scan it.
Step 5. Untick the "Allow others to share and embed this album" and tick the "Don't ask others to sign up". Now you have full control of the album, and your participants can upload with just one click.
It should look like this:
And you are done! Add the link/QR code to the presentation, and once people have uploaded their pictures refresh the album page to see them.
Important: The album is only available 7 days with the free trial, so do this with just a few days before the workshop. Then it's still online for the workshop and you have a few days to save any pictures you might wanna use for promotion.
