Margarita Nieves

Margarita Nieves is a Colombian lawyer, PhD candidate at the University of Groningen and European Climate Pact Ambassador. With her academic research, she contributes to the fields of environmental governance and sustainability, with emphasis in the energy transition, and climate change regulation. She answers the question: what awaits the world in a carbon neutral energy system? She reflects in particular on what energy sources will dominate, what technologies will provide carbon neutral energy, and on how governments and corporations can bridge the gap between developed and developing economies.
