Young people are the innovators and change agents of society, revealing the future to us by creating it. Therefore, at the end of every academic year, Test_Lab takes a close look at a selection of outstanding art and design work created by young artists and designers graduating across Europe. Which topics are being addressed by this year’s new generation of artists and designers? What are their motives, positions, methodologies and media of choice? And how are these new professionals planning to shape their careers as artists and designers in today’s cultural climate? As usual at V2_’s Test_Lab events, the audience will be invited to examine each graduation project 'hands-on'.
This year’s selection includes a one-way ticket into deep space (Popper), superstitious fund trading in accordance to numerology and the moon (Chung), wind for indoors (de Vries), true holograms (Navarro), a design proposal for creating rural energy (van Heist), and a sensory overload closing performance (Munnik). What’s more, to celebrate the participants’ graduation, our bartender extraordinaire will serve refreshing free cocktails, while resident DJ Spindokter Ries serves you beats.
Admission: free.
This event will be streamed live at www.v2.nl starting Jul 5th, 20:00 CET.
