This experimental programme offers a select group of students from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the University of Amsterdam (UvA) the opportunity of a yearlong collaboration. The products of this intensive process are located on the boundary between art and research. The students were inspired by themes such as absorption, the body under influence of authority, and urban space at night. The projects circle around mysteries and irk in unexpected places. We are seduced to search for answers and find even more questions. Science and art meet each other in a state of confusion. Are we ready for a blind date?

The honours programme ART and RESEARCH is a collaboration between the Faculty of Humanities of the UvA and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. “Sleep Around More!‘’ is supervised by Jennifer Kanary (artist and PhD student in Artistic Research), Saskia Lourens (PhD student in Cultural Analysis) and Cato Cramer (coordinator).
