How do you play?
Take a card to play. Every card represents an element from one of the five fragrances. Trade with fellow citizens to get an element of your favourite scent / future. Wear this card visibly and try to form a team. Find like minded citizens to collect all elements of the scent you want to have.
Het Parfum
Mediamatic, in collaboration with The Institute for Art and Olfaction, Play the City and five perfumers, develop a sensuous game around city planning. Five tailor-made fragrances give expression to various prospective visions of the city. Het Parfum is a game that stimulates people to think together about the use of the Navy Terrain. People are brought in contact by the use of scent and encouraged to discuss future possibilities.
The Perfumers
Five perfumes for five future destinations. The fragrances are made, by perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos, known for his perfume line Baruti, scent artist Maki Ueda, IFF perfumer and winner of the Art and Olfaction Awards Ricardo Moya, Niklaus Mettler of In'n'Out Fragrances, and last but not least, Alessandro Gualtieri, the nose of perfume house Nasomatto.

Institute for Art and Olfaction
The IAO was founded by Saskia Wilson-Brown in 2012 to promote public, artistic and experimental involvement around fragrance. They do this by initiating and supporting experimental projects, and promoting and supporting experimental perfumeries. With this they break through traditional conceptions and values from the world of fragrance.
Play the City
Play the City designs physical games as a method for decision-making in collaboration with different parties. Since 2010 they have developed games for topics such as affordable housing, circular economy, migration, transformation of the inner city and urban expansion.
IFF
IFF is an innovator of sensorial experiences that move the world. For over 129 years they've been practicing the art of discovery, creating unique flavours and tastes for fine fragrances and beauty, detergents and household goods, and well-loved foods and beverages.
Pochpac
Pochpac is known for the collections of glasses they make for famous perfumery brands. The collection of Pochet Creations has been made in Normandy’s Glass Vallée by Pochet du Courval for almost 400 years.
