Fred Mul

A master's student studying New Media and Digital Culture at Utrecht University, currently writing my thesis on how VR might be used in environmental communication. 

I have a strong passion for new media and emergent technologies with a particular intrest in how they might be used for sustainability and the communication of environmental issues. In order to do this, I look in to philosophy of technology, posthumanism, and game studies. With such an interdisciplinary approach I aim to come up with new ways of looking at and being in the world. 

At Mediamatic, I am on the Neo-Futurist Dinner team where I help organize and produce our bi-monthly dinner events. On the side I also look into new developments in the field that might act as inspiration for our future events.
