Outline:
On the last evening of our three part event, we would like to introduce
various initiatives which have been active as watchers of state
authority, advocates of freedom of communication and information, 'hacktivists', free software developers and more. In the first part of
this evening we want to do a presentation of the digital-political
landscape of today as seen from the side of the dissident.
Clearinghouses for help, information, support or even service which
are there for political initiatives to use. Where are your alternatives
to hotmail? Is there more off-mainstream information than indymedia.
Where can you find what you want to know about technical questions?
These and other questions we would like to help answer on this evening.
For the second part we would like to initiate a discussion and question &
answer session between guests from 'hacktivist' background and you the participants. This should be an opportunity to get first-hand knowledge
and insight into the experience of people going against the rising tide
of information and communication restrictions as well as infringements of
our broader civil rights from the digital realm.
This evening's agenda will feature
- representative presentation of 'hacktivist' and other political initiatives in the digital sphere
- discussion/conversation with invited guests
Time: 19:30 - 21:30
The course is free of charge and open to the general public.
Police and intelligence personnel should stay in their offices, though,
since if they think they will hear something that evening that they do not
know yet, then they are not worth their money anyway.
