Day of the Dead and dress code party
You will have the chance to celebrate the Day of the Dead in a unique way at Cinemaztlán on 1 November at Paradiso. The Mexican underground band Nine Rain will play live to S. Eisenstein’s film “Que viva Mexico!” The night also includes a performance of “La dentona”, calaveras and a special altar. Please check the dress code of the night: Catrinas and Dandies!

La Calavera Catrina is a staple of Mexican imagery. Originally it was an etching by Mexican printmaker José Guadalupe Posada made in 1913. The word catrina is the feminine form of the word catrín, which means elegant. She wears a fashionable dress and hat of the time. Her companion is a Dandy. See attached images and get info in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Calavera_Catrina. So you know, join us and put that fancy hat on!
