GiesenLeenders

Maurits Giesen (1975) & Ilse Leenders (1979) are working together since they completed their studies at the Royal Art Academy in the Hague, The Netherlands in 2001.
They maintain a perfect balance between seriousness and humor. Because they are both directors and performers, they have total control over the final image. They are working in locations which are often nondescript, using their wry humor make these places seem both odd and familiar. In fact, every photograph they have produced since then is of themselves in disguise.
