1k Projectspace-de Ekster presents a new body of work from Amsterdam based artist Camile Smeets. Chimera will feature a ceramic installation of a girl, a dog and a Chimera. A chimera is a monster comprised of parts from different creatures, an imaginary being well known in folklore and myth.
Ms. Smeets exhibition will open on Sunday December 13 to coincide with the Stadsdeel Westerpark Licht Zondag. The gallery will be open from 1200-1800 December 13, and the opening reception will be from 1600-1800.
Camile Smeets
Camile Smeets was born and raised in Amsterdam and comes from a family of artists. She completed her studies in ceramics at the Rietveld Akademie in Amsterdam earlier this year.
Opening hours are Saturdays 1400-1800, and by appointment.
