Docs Online showcases international projects that possess a synergy between the media form chosen, the means of interaction with the public and the content. Questions that arise in this context include whether the new documentary makers are becoming 'information architects', and where the author is in the process of offering interaction.
Docs Online devotes attention to documentary concepts that present a story or drama in an unorthodox manner. On 24 November, we will present a number of projects that reflect on the opportunities that new media offers to documentary authors.
Among the speakers are: James Richards (UK, BBC), Adrian Miles (AU, RMIT University) Alex Chan (FR, maker machinima clip The French Democracy), Esther Polak (NL, maker of MILK and other locative media documentary projects), Bruno Felix (NL, crossmedia producer, founder of Submarine) and Klaas Kuitenbrouwer, (NL, Mediamatic workshop leader)
Boudewijn Koole (NL, co-maker of Herinnerdingen) and more.
